PROJECT BRIEF

 

The brief for this project at a luxury, boutique hotel in the heart of historic Cambridge was for a fully glazed dining room with minimal framed sliding doors that could be open during the summer months.

 

Firman Glass Projects provided a very thermally efficient system with solar control glass to maintain a comfortable, cool atmosphere during times of bright sunshine.

 

The panel sizes were maximized to the point that the heavy glass units had to be lifted in with a crane, and we achieved ‘frameless’ glass corners. We completed this project in Autumn 2017.

 

The client was so impressed that we are now creating a structural glass porch with two sets of automatic doors and a structural glass balustrade.
